About The Position

The Cashier is a key member of the store team, primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests. TravelCenters of America offers a one-stop shopping experience with name-brand products, Grab ‘N Go foods, groceries, snacks, electronics, maintenance supplies, clothing, and gifts. The role works in a customer-service-focused environment and helps ensure travelers are ready to return to the road.

Requirements

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve each customer courteously, quickly, and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Process customer transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) register.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area.
• Clean and stock merchandise.
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
• Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
