About The Position

CVS Health Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ healthcare needs and deliver a convenient, compassionate experience. Associates provide customer service, perform cashier duties, maintain the sales floor and inventory, support store opening and closing activities when needed, and help keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. They may also assist pharmacy personnel, including by working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development. The role also includes promoting CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are fully stocked and operational and by staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
