About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customer needs and CVS Health’s health care services. The role includes providing friendly, attentive customer service, completing cashier duties, maintaining sales-floor inventory and operations, supporting store opening and closing activities, assisting departments such as photo and beauty, and helping pharmacy personnel when needed. The associate also promotes CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
Accurately handle cash, check, and credit-card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
