About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and contribute to CVS Health’s health care mission. The role includes providing helpful service, completing cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates may work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development. This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure they are stocked and operational.
• Stay current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote new CVS services and loyalty programs.
