About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role involves providing attentive customer service, completing cashier and store-maintenance duties, supporting store operations, and helping keep departments stocked and operational. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel and work shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development. This is a part-time position with anticipated hours of 14 per week and required availability from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day of the week, including every weekend. All shifts are flexible.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, with a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer-service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory-management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure they are stocked and operational while keeping current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.
• Promote new CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
