About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. The role includes providing attentive customer service, performing cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. The position is part-time, with anticipated weekly hours of 29. Required availability is Monday and Tuesday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 4 p.m. to midnight; no hours are listed for Wednesday or Thursday. All shifts are flexible. The typical pay range is $15.00–$19.00 per hour, with the actual offer depending on factors such as experience, education, and geography.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.
• Availability for the listed schedule: Monday and Tuesday 4 p.m.–midnight, Friday and Saturday 5 p.m.–midnight, and Sunday 4 p.m.–midnight.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are fully stocked and operational and by staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
