About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and store operations. The role involves providing attentive, compassionate service, completing cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store opening and closing activities, and assisting departments including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs. This is a part-time role with anticipated hours of 24 per week and required availability across the specified weekday and weekend schedules, including every weekend.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, and to move objects including with overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.
• Availability for the stated schedule, including every weekend.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
