About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role contributes to CVS Health’s efforts to provide a convenient and compassionate health experience by delivering attentive service, maintaining the sales floor, and supporting store departments and services.

Associates may assist pharmacy personnel, including by working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise. The position is part-time, with anticipated weekly hours of 20.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
• Stay current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
