About The Position

Retail Store Associates play a meaningful role at CVS Health in a customer-focused retail setting. The role involves working independently and as part of a team to support customers’ needs and contribute to a more convenient and compassionate health experience. Associates provide service across store departments, maintain store operations, and may assist pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, as well as negligible force regularly, to move objects, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current on updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.
