About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health and retail services. The role involves providing attentive customer service, completing accurate cashier transactions, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store opening and closing activities, and helping other departments stay stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development. This is a part-time position with an anticipated 29 hours per week.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Able to lift or exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in retail or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational while staying current on services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.
