About The Position

Retail Store Associates at CVS Health provide customer-focused support in a retail setting, working independently and as part of a team to help customers with their healthcare and shopping needs. The role includes providing attentive service, handling transactions, maintaining store merchandise and inventory, and supporting store operations. Associates may assist other departments, including photo and beauty, and may work shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development. This is a part-time position requiring availability for the specified, non-flexible shifts and every other weekend.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal and read or inspect small parts and details.
• Available for the listed non-flexible shifts and every other weekend.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.
