About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. The role includes providing attentive customer service, completing cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor, supporting store operations, and helping other departments—including photo, beauty, and pharmacy—when needed. Associates are expected to stay current with services and tools and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

This is a part-time position with 8 anticipated weekly hours. The listed pay range is $15.00–$18.00 per hour. The position requires sustained time on one’s feet, occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds, and close visual acuity. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support opening and closing store activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping departments stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
