About The Position

Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area is seeking a full-time Store Associate for its Manchester store. The associate provides excellent service to customers and donors and performs a variety of store operations duties in support of Goodwill’s mission. The role includes cross-training across work areas and offers opportunities to learn, develop skills, and advance.

Responsibilities

• Support Chattanooga Goodwill’s mission, vision, values, and guiding principles through words, actions, decisions, and conduct.
• Maintain confidentiality of agency, employee, and participant information.
• Maintain punctual and dependable attendance.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers and donors, and direct complaints to management.
• Perform work according to training, e-learning, and work instructions.
• Move product to the retail sales floor with attention to detail and urgency.
• Follow Goodwill policies and procedures.
• Protect company assets and donations.
• Perform general sales-floor and production-area duties, and cross-train in all work areas.
• Communicate effectively with management, peers, and customers.
• Promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with peers.
• Assist with loading and unloading Goodwill trucks and trailers.
• Keep production work areas and the retail sales floor neat, clean, and organized.
• Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
• Attend and complete required training and meetings.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
