About The Position

Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area is hiring a full-time Store Associate at its Ringgold Road location in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The role supports Goodwill’s mission by providing excellent service to customers and donors and performing varied duties across store operations. Associates help move products to the sales floor, maintain clean and organized work areas, and may work in both production and sales-floor areas through cross-training. The position offers opportunities to learn, develop skills, and advance.

Responsibilities

• Support Chattanooga Goodwill’s mission, vision, values, and organizational guiding principles through words, actions, and decisions.
• Maintain the confidentiality of the agency, employees, and participants.
• Maintain punctual and dependable attendance.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers and donors, directing complaints to management.
• Perform work tasks according to training, e-learning, and work instructions.
• Transition products to the retail sales floor effectively, with attention to detail and urgency.
• Follow Goodwill policies and procedures.
• Ensure the security of company assets and donations.
• Perform general sales-floor and production-area duties and cross-train in all work areas.
• Communicate effectively with management, peers, and customers.
• Demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with peers.
• Assist with loading and unloading Goodwill trucks and trailers.
• Keep production work areas and the retail sales floor neat, clean, and organized.
• Follow safety and security practices and report hazards and injuries to management.
• Attend and complete required training and meetings.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
