About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and store operations. The role involves providing compassionate, differentiated service; maintaining the sales floor and inventory; handling transactions; assisting with store opening and closing activities; supporting photo, beauty, and other departments; and, when needed, assisting pharmacy personnel and working pharmacy shifts. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal and reading or inspecting small parts and details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate care in interactions, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
