About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and contribute to their health care experience. The role involves providing helpful, compassionate service; handling transactions; maintaining store and department operations; and supporting CVS services and loyalty programs. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts, as opportunities for growth and career development.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and caring service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
