Full-Time Store Associate

About The Position

The Store Associate supports store operations by merchandising and stocking products, operating the cash register, cleaning, and providing exceptional customer service. The role works collaboratively with the ALDI team to maintain an efficient checkout and a positive customer shopping experience. Associates also fulfill curbside pickup orders by retrieving and verifying items and delivering orders to customers’ vehicles.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Ability to operate store equipment, including cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks within established timeframes.
Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
Ability to meet availability requirements.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior work experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

Model and fulfill customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management as necessary.
Inform store management of losses due to outdated or damaged products.
Use the point-of-sale system to accurately scan and process purchases and report scanning concerns or errors.
Follow cash policies and procedures.
Follow the line policy and open additional checkout lanes as required.
Stock shelves and displays neatly according to merchandising planograms.
Retrieve and verify curbside pickup orders and deliver them to customers’ vehicles in a timely manner.
Maintain zone and merchandising standards.
Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
Comply with company policies and processes.
Help maintain a safe work environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, using proper ergonomics, and keeping equipment in proper working order.
Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
