About The Position

ALDI is hiring part-time store associates, cashiers, and stockers. Store associates handle both cashier and stocker responsibilities. The roles support daily store operations and provide customers with a positive shopping experience through merchandising, stocking, checkout service, and cleaning. The position averages fewer than 30 hours per week and starts at $19.50 per hour, with listed wage increases in subsequent years. Employees provide courteous customer service, support store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals, follow company policies and procedures, maintain merchandising and store-zone standards, follow inventory and product-handling guidelines, and help keep the workplace safe. Cashiers use the point-of-sale system, follow cash and checkout procedures, open additional lanes when required, and complete curbside pickup orders. Stockers replenish shelves and displays according to merchandising planograms; stockers must be able to start work as early as 5:00 a.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Operate store equipment, including cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
Interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
Work independently and with others.
Organize, prioritize, and complete tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes.
Maintain reliable and prompt attendance and meet availability requirements.
For stocker responsibilities, be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00 a.m.
Perform the listed duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior work experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

Model customer-service principles and escalate concerns to store management as necessary.
Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
Comply with company policies and processes.
Help maintain a safe working environment by identifying and addressing hazards, using proper ergonomics, and keeping equipment in working order.
Maintain store-zone and merchandising standards.
Follow inventory procedures and product-handling guidelines.
Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
Use the point-of-sale system to scan and process customer purchases accurately, and report scanning concerns or errors to store management.
Follow cash policies and procedures, adhere to the line policy, and open additional checkout lanes as needed.
Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving and verifying items and delivering them to customers’ vehicles from the staging area.
Stock shelves and displays neatly according to merchandising planograms.
