About The Position

ALDI is hiring part-time store associates, cashiers, and stockers. Store associates perform both cashier and stocker duties. Associates merchandise and stock products, provide customer checkout service, and clean the store to maintain smooth operations and a positive shopping experience. Cashiers scan and process purchases, follow cash and checkout procedures, and fulfill curbside pickup orders. Stockers organize and replenish shelves and displays according to merchandising plans. Stockers must be able to arrive as early as 5:00 a.m. The position averages fewer than 30 hours per week and starts at $19.50 per hour. Listed wage increases are $20.00 in year 2, $20.50 in year 3, $20.50 in year 4, and $21.50 in year 5. Duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Operate store equipment, including cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
Interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
Work independently and with others.
Organize, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes.
Maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
Meet availability requirements.
Stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00 a.m.
Perform required physical activities, including pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and moving between areas.
Lift, carry, and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead.
Stock products in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
Use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, courteous customer service and escalate concerns to store management as necessary.
Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
Comply with established company policies and processes.
Help maintain a safe work environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, using proper ergonomics, and keeping equipment in proper working order.
Maintain store zone and merchandising standards.
Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
Use the point-of-sale system to scan and process customer purchases accurately and report scanning concerns or errors to store management.
Follow cash policies and procedures, the checkout line policy, and open additional checkout lanes as needed.
Fulfill curbside pickup orders by retrieving and verifying items and delivering them promptly to customers' vehicles from the staging area.
Stock shelves and displays neatly according to merchandising planograms.
