About The Position

ALDI is hiring part-time store associates, cashiers, and stockers. Store associates handle both cashier and stocker duties. Associates merchandise and stock products, operate checkout, and clean the store. Cashiers provide friendly, efficient checkout service and may complete curbside pickup orders. Stockers keep shelves and displays stocked and organized. These roles help maintain store operations and deliver a positive customer shopping experience. The position averages fewer than 30 hours per week and starts at $18.00 per hour. Listed wage increases are $18.50 in year 2, $19.00 in year 3, $19.00 in year 4, and $20.00 in year 5. Stockers must be able to arrive as early as 5:00 a.m.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Ability to operate store equipment, including cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
Ability to interpret and apply operating policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks within established timeframes.
Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
Ability to meet availability requirements.
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move between areas.
Must be able to lift, carry, and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead.
Must be able to stock products in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
Must be able to use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.
Stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00 a.m.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Model and fulfill customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management as needed.
Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
Comply with company policies and processes.
Help maintain a safe work environment by identifying and addressing hazards, using proper ergonomics, and keeping equipment in proper working order.
Maintain store zones and merchandising standards.
Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
Use the point-of-sale system to accurately scan and process purchases and report scanning concerns or errors to management.
Follow cash policies and procedures.
Follow the checkout line policy and open additional checkout lanes as needed.
Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying order contents, and delivering orders to customers’ vehicles from the staging area in a timely manner.
Stock shelves and displays neatly according to merchandising planograms.
For store associates, perform both cashier and stocker responsibilities.
