About The Position

ALDI is hiring part-time store associates, cashiers, and stockers. Store associates perform both cashier and stocker duties, along with general cleaning. Cashiers provide friendly, efficient checkout service and may complete curbside pickup orders. Stockers keep shelves and displays stocked and organized according to merchandising plans. These roles support smooth store operations and an excellent customer shopping experience. The position averages fewer than 30 hours per week and starts at $18.50 per hour. Listed wage increases are $19.00 in year 2, $19.50 in year 3, $19.50 in year 4, and $20.50 in year 5. Stockers must be able to arrive as early as 5:00 a.m.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Ability to operate store equipment, including cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks within established timeframes.
Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
Ability to meet availability requirements.
Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move between areas.
Ability to lift, carry, and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead.
Ability to stock products in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
Ability to use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, courteous customer service and escalate concerns to store management as necessary.
Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
Follow established company policies, processes, cash policies, and procedures.
Support a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order.
Maintain store zones and merchandising standards.
Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
Use the point-of-sale system to accurately scan and process customer purchases, and notify management of scanning concerns or errors.
Follow the line policy and open additional checkout lanes as required.
Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving and verifying items and delivering them to customers’ vehicles from the staging area.
Stock shelves and displays neatly according to merchandising planograms.
