About The Position

ALDI is hiring part-time store associates, cashiers, and stockers. Store associates handle both cashier and stocker duties, including merchandising and stocking products, cashiering, and cleaning. Cashiers provide friendly, efficient checkout service and may complete curbside pickup orders. Stockers keep shelves and displays neat and organized, following merchandising plans. These roles support efficient store operations and a positive customer shopping experience. The position averages fewer than 30 hours per week and starts at $18.50 per hour, with listed wage increases in subsequent years.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Ability to operate store equipment, including cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks within established timeframes.
Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance and meet availability requirements.
Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Stockers must be able to arrive to work as early as 5:00 a.m.
Ability to push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move between areas.
Ability to lift, carry, and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead.
Ability to stock products in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
Ability to use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior work experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service, follow customer service principles, and escalate concerns to store management as needed.
Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
Follow company policies, processes, inventory procedures, and product handling guidelines.
Help maintain a safe working environment by identifying and addressing hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and keeping equipment in proper working order.
Maintain store zone and merchandising standards.
Perform general cleaning to company standards.
Use the point-of-sale system to scan and process purchases accurately and report scanning concerns or errors to store management.
Follow cash policies and procedures.
Follow the checkout line policy and open additional checkout lanes as needed.
Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving and verifying items and delivering them promptly to customers’ vehicles from the staging area.
Stock shelves and displays neatly according to merchandising planograms.
As a store associate, perform both cashier and stocker responsibilities.
