About The Position

ALDI is hiring part-time store associates, cashiers, and stockers. Store associates handle both cashier and stocker responsibilities, while cashiers provide friendly, efficient checkout service and stockers maintain stocked, organized shelves. All roles help maintain store operations and deliver a positive customer shopping experience. The position averages fewer than 30 hours per week and starts at $19.50 per hour, with scheduled wage increases: $20.00 in Year 2, $20.50 in Year 3, $20.50 in Year 4, and $21.50 in Year 5. Employees provide customer service, support store efficiency and loss-prevention goals, follow company policies, help maintain a safe workplace, meet store and merchandising standards, follow inventory and product-handling guidelines, and perform cleaning tasks. Cashiers use the point-of-sale system, follow cash and checkout procedures, open additional lanes as needed, and complete curbside pickup orders. Stockers stock shelves according to merchandising plans and must be able to start work as early as 5:00 a.m. The role involves frequent movement and handling products weighing up to 45 pounds, operating store equipment, stocking products in freezer and cooler environments, and using cleaning products. Duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Ability to operate store equipment, including cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks productively within established timeframes.
Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
Ability to meet availability requirements.
Ability to push, pull, sit, stand, reach, grasp, twist, bend, and move between areas.
Ability to lift, carry, and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights, including overhead.
Ability to stock products in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
Ability to use glass and multipurpose cleaning products.

Responsibilities

Model and fulfill customer-service principles and escalate concerns to store management as necessary.

Help maintain a safe working environment by identifying and correcting hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and keeping equipment in proper working order.
Maintain store-zone and merchandising standards.
Follow inventory procedures and product-handling guidelines.
Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
Use the point-of-sale system to scan and process customer purchases accurately and report scanning concerns or errors to store management.
Follow cash policies and procedures, comply with the line policy, and open additional checkout lanes as needed.
Retrieve, verify, and deliver curbside pickup orders to customers’ vehicles in a timely manner.
Stock shelves and displays neatly according to merchandising planograms.
For store associate roles, perform both cashier and stocker responsibilities.
