About The Position
The Stone Countertop Finisher hand-finishes stone countertops, producing quality results and providing professional service to customers. The role performs complex cuts using miter saws and hand tools, fabricates and polishes custom-cut edges, and follows job plans and instructions throughout the fabrication process. This position works in an indoor production environment around large machinery, overhead cranes, and power tools. Some areas may have wet floors, and noise levels are consistently high. Employees must be able to lift at least 75 pounds regularly. Pre-employment drug and background testing is mandatory. CKF participates in E-Verify and provides equal employment opportunities.
Requirements
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to read and follow job plans and instructions, including CADs and blueprints.
- Ability to use and read a tape measure accurately and precisely to 1/16 of an inch.
- Experience using miter saws, a handheld polisher, and basic hand tools.
- Ability to lift at least 75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of regularly standing, pushing, pulling, talking, and hearing, and frequently walking, handling or feeling objects, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Pre-employment drug and background testing.

- General carpentry knowledge or experience.
- Experience working with stone products.
- Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Hand-fabricate and polish custom-cut edges of stone countertops.
- Create custom edging and details using a miter saw.
- Use a wet grinder to cut stone by hand when necessary.
- Repair chips and refinish edges when required.
- Review and follow job plans and instructions listed in SPS.
- Scan the barcode on each stone piece before and after a cut to verify the correct pieces are being processed.
- Maintain and operate equipment according to operating manuals and procedures.
- Maintain an efficient, organized, and clean work area.
- Pre-inspect materials before processing and double-check material.
- Verify measurements for accuracy.
- Follow safety policies and standard operating procedures to protect employees and company property.
- Maintain regular, predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
