About The Position

The Stocking Associate performs merchandise stocking duties in both Receiving and on the Sales Floor. The role supports a world-class customer service commitment and helps provide customers with a pleasant and productive shopping experience. The associate organizes back stock, replenishes merchandise, unloads trucks as needed, maintains product knowledge, assists with pricing and signage, and keeps the work area clean and supplied. The position performs tasks under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and other associates.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and customers.
Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.

Responsibilities

Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
Organize and manage back stock daily.
Replenish products on shelves and in back stock according to merchandising guidelines.
Unload trucks as needed.
Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and plan-o-grams.
Assist with pricing maintenance and signing.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
