About The Position

Central Valley is a family-owned and operated building supply company with eight locations throughout Northern California. The company has been in business since 1955 and is a regional supplier of building and agricultural products. It is currently hiring a part-time Stocking Associate for its St. Helena facility. This role works 24–30 hours per week on the day shift, and applicants must be able to work Saturdays.

The Stocking Associate helps ensure the store is stocked and ready for business by moving products from receiving to the appropriate sales areas and ensuring items have correct pricing labels or signage. The role also supports store organization, customer service, and safety.

Requirements

• Organized with attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Time management skills.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.

• Stocking experience in a retail environment is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Stock products on shelves to make them available to customers.
• Ensure merchandise is in the correct location and has accurate pricing and labels.
• Unload products safely using designated equipment and proper lifting techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized store to support customer and employee safety.
• Acknowledge and greet customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries and direct questions to the appropriate department.
• Maintain current knowledge of company products and their locations in the store or yard.
• Observe store areas for safety issues, potential theft, and security risks.
• Perform other duties as required, including assisting with floor sales, cashiering, receiving, and assembling products for customer pickup or delivery.
