Stocker/Load Builder - Cain Hardware & Lumber
About The Position
Cain Hardware & Lumber, a Nation’s Best Holdings, LLC company, is seeking a Stocker/Load Builder for its Carthage, Texas location. This hands-on role supports customers and store operations by helping customers find and load products, preparing materials for deliveries, organizing the yard, assisting with deliveries and inventory counts, and following safety practices. The position may also provide customer service in other areas as needed and perform additional tasks assigned by management. Both part-time and full-time candidates are being considered. The work involves a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and may require working outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions. Candidates should be willing to lift, climb, reach, twist, and bend, and to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with customers and coworkers.
- Willingness to lift, climb, reach, twist, and bend, and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with construction or building materials.
- At least one year of forklift experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Help customers find products, offer recommendations, and load purchases into vehicles.
- Check materials to ensure they are ready for quick and accurate deliveries.
- Load materials safely and pack items correctly for transport.
- Keep the yard organized and products easy to locate.
- Assist with deliveries, drive forklifts or company vehicles, and unload products.
- Complete training and learn about products and safety rules.
- Provide customer service in other areas as needed.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management to help operations run smoothly.
- Follow safety rules, keep the work area clean, and help maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with inventory counts to help ensure stock levels are accurate.
