About The Position
Hall's Hardware, a Nation’s Best Holdings, LLC company, is seeking a Stocker/Load Builder for its Milton, Florida location. The role provides customer service by helping customers find products, offering recommendations, and loading purchases. It also involves preparing and safely loading materials for delivery, organizing the yard, assisting with deliveries, operating forklifts or company vehicles, and supporting inventory counts. The Stocker/Load Builder follows safety procedures, maintains a clean work area, learns about products and safety rules, and helps in other customer-service areas as needed. The position is hands-on and team-oriented in a fast-paced hardware and building-materials environment. Work may take place outdoors and in varying temperatures. The role requires physical activity, including lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Willingness and ability to lift, climb, reach, twist, and bend, and to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to work in various temperatures and outdoor conditions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
- Results-driven attitude and commitment to delivering great service.
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work hard as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with construction or building materials is helpful but not required.
- At least one year of forklift experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Help customers find products, offer recommendations, and load purchases into vehicles.
- Check materials to ensure they are ready for quick and accurate deliveries.
- Load materials safely and pack items correctly for transport.
- Keep the yard organized and make materials easy to locate.
- Assist with deliveries, drive forklifts or company vehicles, and unload products.
- Keep up with training and learn about products and safety rules.
- Help with customer service in different areas as needed.
- Follow safety rules, keep the work area clean, and help maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with counting inventory to ensure stock levels are accurate.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
