About The Position

AHC Hospitality represents a diverse array of hotels, restaurants, and resorts, providing exceptional guest experiences. This full-time position is for the Amway Grand Plaza, focusing on the daily operations of food, beverage, and dry purchasing store rooms. The role involves dispensing products and orders to meet the needs of various hotel departments and functions.

Requirements

  • Previous culinary, retail, wholesale or restaurant knowledge preferred.
  • A solid display of safe food handling.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
  • Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to talk or hear; taste or smell.
  • Ability to occasionally sit and stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

Nice To Haves

  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Related experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with receiving and distribution of all goods according to the requisition and company procedures.
  • Inspect supplies/product for good condition before accepting.
  • Know what items are currently out and place new orders on shelves.
  • Rotate stock in the correct place as it arrives.
  • Perform routine duties independently and special projects as assigned.
  • Handle and manage information confidentially.
  • Follow AHC handbook policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Actively work to assist guests and go above and beyond to provide guest service.
  • Ensure the quality and level of service expected by management and guests.
  • Use other AHC hotels and staff as resources.
  • Complete all daily responsibilities/cleaning task lists.
  • Check in with department manager for assigned duties.
  • Follow hotel green policies.
  • Ensure trash/recyclables are taken out.
  • Follow AHC guest service standards.
  • Actively work with department staff, while following all departmental rules.
  • Complete any additional responsibilities asked by management or supervisor.
