About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Stock Clerk to join its team in Hanahan, South Carolina. The Stock Clerk uses knowledge of commonly used stocking concepts, practices, and procedures, including receipts, invoices, weights, inventory updates, inspections, and storage methods. The role supports material movement and production schedules in a manufacturing environment and involves regular physical activity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a public trust.
• Active DoD clearances are accepted.
• Ability to safely meet the stated physical demands, including regularly lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted and walking at least one-half mile daily.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack materials and supplies; report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes.
• Complete shipping and receiving reports.
• Move parts and assemblies within or between buildings according to priorities set by the Facility Manager or facility staff engineer.
• Arrange transfers of materials to meet production schedules.
• Examine materials to verify that they are the type specified for the current project.
• Compute the amount of material needed for specific job orders.
• Safely perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment, including lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis; walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing, or squatting for extended periods; and walking at least one-half mile daily.
