About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Stock Clerk to join its team in Hanahan, South Carolina. The Stock Clerk applies knowledge of commonly used stocking concepts, practices, and procedures, including receipts, invoices, weights, inventory updates, inspections, and storage methods. The role supports material handling and production schedules in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a public trust; active DoD clearances are accepted.
• Ability to safely lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis.
• Ability to walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand, or squat for extended periods.
• Ability to walk distances of at least one-half mile daily.
• Knowledge of commonly used stocking concepts, practices, and procedures, including receipts, invoices, weights, inventory updates, inspections, and storage methods.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unpack materials and supplies; report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes; and complete shipping and receiving reports.
• Move parts and assemblies within or between buildings according to priorities set by the facility manager or facility staff engineer.
• Arrange transfers of materials to meet production schedules, examine materials to verify they match the current project specifications, and calculate the quantities needed for specific job orders.
• Safely meet the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including regularly lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted; walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing, or squatting for extended periods; and walking at least one-half mile daily.
