About The Position

The Stock Clerk is responsible for stocking and straightening merchandise and supplies, rotating stock according to expiration dates, and receiving and unloading truck deliveries. This role also involves performing basic housekeeping duties, operating tools and equipment safely, and handling items up to 50 pounds. Secondary functions include maintaining a clean work area, assisting customers with groceries, operating cashier equipment, bagging purchases, and performing duties with limited supervision. Requirements

Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform job functions.
Follows dress code.

Speaks English fluently.
Eyesight corrected to 20/20.
Hearing corrected to normal range.
Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet.

Responsibilities

Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
Rotates merchandise as necessary according to product expiration dates.
Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment.
Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age.
Maintains a clean and neat work area.
Unloads groceries from customers shopping cart.
Carries or carts groceries to customer’s car.
Properly bags or packages customers purchases using correct size and quantity of bags.
Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
Performs all essential job functions with limited supervision.
Other duties as assigned.
