About The Position
This is a summer stipend position for a Kindergarten/Gr.1 Reading/ELL Teacher at the Early Learning Center (ELC) for Summer 2026. The role involves teaching students using the Early Childhood Model of Instruction, planning daily lessons, following IEPs, recording attendance, ensuring program opening and closing, and adhering to emergency procedures. Other duties may be assigned by the administrator or summer site supervisor.
Requirements
- Current MLE teacher
- Classroom Teacher
- Instructional Coach
- Teacher with certification in ELL, PK-2, or K-3
Responsibilities
- Teach students utilizing Early Childhood Model of Instruction
- Plan daily lessons to meet the needs of all students
- Follow all IEP’s (Individualized Educational Plans)
- Record daily attendance
- Ensure appropriate opening and closing of daily program
- Follow emergency procedures
- Perform other duties assigned by administrator or summer site supervisor
