The Position Incumbent works under the direction of the assigned Division Chief or designee, coordinating, directing and managing operations and services of the Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Clinic and Immunization Clinic. This role involves guiding, directing, and providing technical assistance to clinic staff, subcontractors, temporary staff, and volunteers to achieve program goals. The incumbent will establish and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders, including clients, supervisors, county employees, elected officials, attorneys, law enforcement, judges, other agencies, and the public. Ensuring clinic readiness through task assignment, performance monitoring, and delegation is crucial. The position requires ensuring compliance with federal and state laws/regulations, and evidence-based best practices in immunization and STI fields. Collaboration with the Clinic Supervisor is essential for developing, revising, and reviewing clinic program policies and procedures, as well as defining and implementing patient care standards. Promoting a safe working environment, maintaining staff and clinic licenses, and assessing staff clinical knowledge are key responsibilities. The role also involves coordinating clinic staffing, scheduling, and logistics for offsite clinics, and potentially providing direct patient care support. Communication and liaison activities between the Supervisor, clinic staff, and administration are important. The incumbent will coordinate training activities, conduct stand-up meetings, and demonstrate empathy and respect towards individuals and the community. Maintaining job knowledge through continuous learning and overseeing electronic health record (EHR) documentation and reporting are also part of the role. Participation in clinic monitoring, progress evaluation, chart audits, establishing a clinic billing system, ensuring adequate medical supplies, and assisting with student/resident experiences are expected. The position requires participation in internal and community committees, public health emergency response, and safe operation of a motor vehicle for county business.
