About The Position

The Stewardship Coordinator ensures that every MUSC Foundation donor is thanked promptly and stewarded consistently, translating stewardship strategy into completed, well-documented donor experiences. Reporting to the Associate Director of Stewardship, this position executes day to day stewardship activities and maintains the data and records that support donor engagement efforts. The Stewardship Coordinator prepares and personalizes donor acknowledgments, develops stewardship touchpoints for gift officers, and supports the creation of stewardship and impact reports. The position maintains stewardship metrics, dashboards, and CRM records, tracking key activities and outcomes while ensuring stewardship efforts are accurately documented and reported.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 1–3 years of related experience, OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 5 years of related professional experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience using a CRM daily to record and report activity; Raiser’s Edge experience preferred.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively toward gift officers and stewardship colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Write and personalize gift acknowledgments across giving levels, preparing letters for the appropriate signatories and ensuring receipt and tax language is accurate and IRS-compliant.
  • Maintain acknowledgment templates and turnaround standards, and log acknowledgment status and dates in the CRM so timeliness and completion are visible.
  • Produce, each month, a set of stewardship touchpoints for gift officers — recommended, tier-appropriate ways to thank and engage their donors, aligned to the segmentation model — giving fundraisers a ready and consistent stream of stewardship moments for their portfolios.
  • Coordinate the handoff of these touchpoints with gift officers and capture completed touches in the CRM.
  • Execute the recurring, scaled touchpoints that support the annual calendar (e.g., digital birthday, anniversary, and welcome touches) in partnership with the Associate Director’s project plans.
  • Keep the team’s metrics and dashboards current, drawing on the CRM to track acknowledgment turnaround, touchpoint completion, and progress toward the team’s donor re-engagement and pledge-fulfillment goals.
  • Flag data gaps or anomalies in stewardship records so they can be corrected at the source.
  • Support the outlining and assembly of stewardship and impact reports and the inputs they require; with this role contributing structure, data, and coordination.
