About The Position

The Steward sanitizes kitchen areas and equipment to ensure the cleanliness of food preparation and service areas. The role includes cleaning kitchen equipment and spaces, performing heavy-duty cleaning, and maintaining floors and carpeted areas throughout food and beverage outlets. The work takes place inside the hotel in food and beverage areas, with exposure to humidity, extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, food, and beverages.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate respectfully and work in a team atmosphere.
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including stoves, grills, and prep tables.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, floors, and walls.
• Perform heavy-duty cleaning of ovens, hoods, grills, sinks, walls, floors, and other heavy equipment.
• Vacuum carpeted areas throughout food and beverage outlets.
• Wash tile floors in all food and beverage areas.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
