Steward (Full Time)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Steward at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut. The role maintains kitchen work areas and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and supports food service operations while meeting sanitation and safety standards. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with weekends included. The pay range is $22.00 to $23.00 per hour. Previous kitchen utility experience is required. Requirements
- Previous kitchen utility experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop floors at appropriate intervals to meet safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate large electric machines, including dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces as assigned.
- Separate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers.
- Steam clean or hose out garbage cans in assigned areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other food preparation machines and equipment.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas while following safe lifting standards.
- Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup as requested.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and product.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
- Comply with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
