About The Position

The Steward maintains kitchen work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. The role supports kitchen operations by cleaning food preparation areas and equipment, handling waste, moving supplies, and helping with event setup and deliveries. The position requires regular lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors at appropriate intervals to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Operate large electric machines, including dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces as assigned.
• Separate and remove trash and garbage, place it in designated containers, and steam-clean or hose out garbage cans in assigned areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other food preparation machines and equipment.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas while following safe lifting standards.
• Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup as requested.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
