About The Position

Kids in Tech (KiT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hands-on STEM education to youth from low-income communities in Greater Lowell. Since 2016, KiT has impacted over 9,000 students through various programs including after-school clubs, family STEM events, summer learning, and community innovation initiatives. The organization is seeking passionate individuals to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Passion for STEM, technology, education, or youth development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and dependable

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with youth is a plus
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Leading interactive STEM lessons and activities
  • Serving as a positive mentor and role model
  • Preparing lesson materials and supplies
  • Supporting family engagement and special events
  • Tracking attendance and student participation
  • Collaborating with school and community partners
