About The Position

Kids in Tech (KiT) is a nonprofit organization that provides hands-on STEM education to youth from low-income communities throughout Greater Lowell. Since 2016, we have empowered more than 9,000 students through after-school programs, family STEM events, summer learning experiences, and community-based innovation programs. As a STEM Program Instructor, you will lead engaging after-school STEM clubs for students ages 8–14. Using the Kids in Tech curriculum, you will facilitate hands-on learning experiences in areas such as robotics, coding, artificial intelligence, engineering, biotechnology, and entrepreneurship.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Passion for STEM, technology, education, or youth development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and dependable

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with youth is a plus
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Leading interactive STEM lessons and activities
  • Serving as a positive mentor and role model
  • Preparing lesson materials and supplies
  • Supporting family engagement and special events
  • Tracking attendance and student participation
  • Collaborating with school and community partners
