About The Position
The Material Handler supports Kinsley Steel’s fabrication shop by handling steel materials, including loading and unloading trucks and transferring steel to production tables. The role may involve operating a forklift and performing rigging work. The Material Handler also carries out other duties as needed to support shop operations.
Requirements
- Experience with an overhead crane.
- Experience using and operating a forklift.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating and functioning effectively with coworkers, clients, and supervisors.
- Comply with Kinsley’s safety policies and procedures.
- Be flexible to work any schedule needed, including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to tolerate hot and cold working environments.
- Ability to stand on feet for up to 10 hours.
- Be organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift as needed.
- Perform rigging work, including jacking and staking.
- Load and unload steel from trucks.
- Load steel onto transfer tables to feed the production line.
- Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop.
