About The Position

The Steel Material Handler is responsible for general material handling, including unloading inbound material, loading outbound material, and moving and distributing material to various operating areas for fabrication. The position requires safely and efficiently operating applicable equipment with minimal supervision, following company safety and quality requirements, and working effectively with team members. The role is based in Huron, South Dakota, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed. The pay rate is $20.40–$23.00+ per hour, depending on experience, plus a full benefit package.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong material identification skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to read a tape measure in imperial and metric units.
Ability to work with others.
Ability to communicate with team members verbally and non-verbally.
Prompt and dependable attendance.
Ability to work efficiently in varying weather conditions.

Forklift certification.
