About The Position

The Material Handler supports the fabrication shop by moving and handling steel materials. Duties include loading and unloading steel from trucks, transferring steel to production tables, and operating a forklift as needed. The role requires overhead crane experience, rigging work, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following company safety policies and procedures. The schedule may vary and can include overtime and Saturdays as needed.

Requirements

• Experience with an overhead crane.
• Experience using and operating a forklift.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work any schedule needed, including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
• Ability to tolerate hot and cold working environments.
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours.
• Organization and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate and function effectively with coworkers, clients, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Perform rigging work, including jacking and staking.
• Load and unload steel from trucks.
• Load steel onto transfer tables to feed the production line.
• Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop.
• Maintain an effective, positive working atmosphere through communication with coworkers, clients, and supervisors.
• Work in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and procedures.
