About The Position

The Steel Material Handler handles materials as needed, including unloading inbound material, loading outbound material, and moving and distributing material to various operational areas for fabrication. The role requires safely and efficiently operating applicable equipment with minimal supervision, following company safety and quality requirements, and working in a range of weather conditions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed; flexible hours and weekend work may also be needed. The position is based in Huron, South Dakota, and pays $20.40–$23.00+ per hour, depending on experience, with a full benefit package.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong material-identification skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to read a tape measure in imperial and metric units.
Ability to work with others.
Ability to safely and efficiently operate applicable equipment.

Forklift certification.
