Steel Coordination Lead

Metallus•Canton, OH
•Onsite

About The Position

The Steel Coordination Lead supports safe, reliable, and high-quality steelmaking operations across the Faircrest facility. The role works closely with the EAF/Refine Supervisor, Solidification Supervisor, FRM Supervisor, and Turnmet to drive safety, quality, and execution. During steady-state operations, the Lead focuses on the production plan and the next 8 to 24 hours of schedules, risks, and contingencies, and verifies that shift responsibilities for Tier 1 meetings are completed to MMOS standards. During non-steady-state operations, the Lead communicates responses to upset conditions across upstream and downstream operations, provides immediate direction, prioritizes sequencing to restore steady state, establishes milestones, and supports timely investigation and corrective action. During safety incidents or significant upsets in steelmaking or scrap-making areas, the Lead reports through the appropriate escalation levels so the area supervisor can manage the scene. The Lead also manages caster size changes and necessary maintenance within the caster changeover window, helping supervisors focus on execution and melt shop cycle time. The position requires overtime, rotating shifts or schedules, and/or weekend work. Relocation is not offered.
