About The Position

Moxi robots operate around the clock in hospitals nationwide, and this role supports their continued service by coordinating maintenance scheduling and parts availability at HQ. Approximately half of the week is spent planning preventive maintenance across the fleet, scoping work orders, and closing them after field technicians complete the work. The other half is spent in the spares depot receiving shipments, maintaining inventory, assembling and shipping kits, and processing failed parts for repair or return. The role coordinates daily with field technicians and reports duties assigned by the Tech Ops Manager. It is performed on-site at HQ five days a week.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a storeroom, parts crib, warehouse, inventory control, or maintenance support role.
  • Hands-on experience with an inventory or work-order system such as a CMMS, ERP, or WMS, including creating records, issuing parts, and closing transactions.
  • Mechanical and electrical literacy sufficient to read a bill of materials, identify components, and discuss jobs with technicians.
  • Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated habit of maintaining accurate records.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas, and written communication via email and Slack.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand and walk for extended periods, and safely handle packaged robot subassemblies.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work on-site at HQ five days a week.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to maintenance planning or scheduling, or a desire to grow into it.
  • Experience shipping and receiving with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or freight carriers, and handling vendor RMAs.
  • Experience in robotics, medical devices, industrial equipment, or another field-serviced hardware fleet.
  • Associate degree or technical certificate in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules by robot and site; generate work orders on cadence and adjust schedules for field availability or site-access changes.
  • Scope work orders by documenting steps, estimated labor, required parts and tools, and site-specific access notes.
  • Build parts and tool lists for scheduled jobs and confirm availability before releasing work.
  • Track open, in-progress, and overdue work orders and flag at-risk jobs to the Tech Ops lead.
  • Keep work-order templates, part numbers, and bills of materials current as hardware revisions roll out.
  • Receive, inspect, and put away incoming parts and consumables; reconcile shipments against purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory-system counts, perform scheduled cycle counts, and investigate variances.
  • Set and maintain stocked-spares minimum and maximum levels with the Tech Ops lead, and raise reorder requests before stockouts.
  • Assemble parts and tool kits for scheduled work and ship them to sites or field technicians with tracking and documentation.
  • Process returns by logging failed parts, initiating vendor RMAs, routing units to repair or scrap, and updating inventory.
  • Keep the depot organized, labeled, and safe, and maintain ESD and handling practices for electronic assemblies.
  • Flag slow-moving and obsolete stock for review.
  • Coordinate daily with field technicians about what they need and when.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Tech Ops Manager.
