About The Position

We are seeking passionate and energetic STEAM and Arts After School Part Time Instructors to lead engaging classes for Pre-K4-5th grade students. This role involves facilitating hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The program runs Monday through Friday, with class times from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Compensation is $45 per hour of class, assignment, mini camp, or field trip.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a formal or informal educational setting.
• Knowledge and passion for STEAM and Arts education.
• Ability to manage a classroom of young children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as an after-school instructor.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Arts, or a related STEAM field.
• Experience with curriculum development.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate STEAM and Arts classes for Pre-K4-5th grade students.
• Develop and implement engaging, hands-on activities related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
• Prepare materials and set up the classroom for each session.
• Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
