About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and engaging STEAM - After School Instructor to lead our STEM and Arts Programs for students in grades K-8. This role involves facilitating hands-on learning experiences and fostering creativity in an after-school setting. The program runs from October 27th to May 25th, with classes held Monday through Friday from 3:50 PM to 6:00 PM at our Adelanto, CA 92301 location.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a K-8 grade level.
Knowledge and passion for STEAM subjects.
Ability to manage a classroom and engage students effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable and punctual.
Must be available to work Monday - Friday, 3:50 PM - 6:00 PM.
Background check may be required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as an after-school instructor or camp counselor.
Formal education or training in a STEAM field.
Experience with curriculum development.
First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Lead and instruct students in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) activities.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with program goals.
Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
Supervise students during program hours.
Communicate with program coordinators regarding student progress and any issues that arise.
Prepare materials and set up the classroom for activities.
Adapt activities to meet the needs of diverse learners across K-8 grade levels.
