About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and engaging STEAM - After School Instructor to lead our STEM and Arts Programs for students in grades K-5. This role involves facilitating hands-on learning experiences and fostering creativity in a fun and educational environment. The program runs from October 27th to May 25th, with classes typically held on Wednesdays between 3:50 PM and 6:00 PM, usually in 60-minute blocks.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a K-5th grade setting.
Knowledge and passion for STEAM and Arts education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
Reliable transportation to the site in Victorville, CA.
Availability on Wednesdays from October 27th to May 25th.
Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as an after-school instructor or camp counselor.
Bachelor's degree in Education, STEAM field, or related area.
Experience developing or adapting curriculum.
CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Lead and instruct students in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) and Arts Programs.
Facilitate engaging, hands-on learning activities for K-5th grade students.
Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
Prepare and organize materials for each class session.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Attend required training sessions and staff meetings.
