About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and engaging STEAM After School Instructor to lead our K-5th grade students in fun and educational STEAM activities. This role involves facilitating hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The instructor will manage classroom dynamics, ensure student safety, and provide a positive learning environment.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a K-5th grade setting.
• Knowledge and passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Background check may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a camp counselor or after-school instructor.
• Experience in curriculum development for STEAM programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, STEAM field, or related area.
• First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct K-5th grade students in STEAM-related activities.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for each session.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Facilitate hands-on projects and experiments.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
